Year of The Snake

Shedding the literal skin of zodiac iconography, this red packet series for the Year of the Snake is a reinterpretation. Across 16 packets and 4 visual themes, the serpent's essence is conveyed: fluid grace intertwined with enduring floral motifs. Drawing inspiration from the ouroboros symbol, the designs subtly reference cycles of repetition and renewal. The subtle acknowledgement of the Year of the Snake allows for the packets' use beyond the new year. The narratives embedded within each design add a layer of depth and intrigue to the collection.

The Cuban

The Cuban is a bar cabinet that acts as both a refined storage piece and a social catalyst within the space. Integrating a humidor, it preserves and presents whiskey and cigars as curated objects of ritual. Its upper surface is conceived as a DJ deck, accommodating turntables and music equipment, positioning the piece at the center of atmosphere and interaction. Developed as part of the Disco House collection, the design builds on the relationship between music, space and human behavior, translating the spirit of late 1970s and early 1980s nightlife into a contemporary, performative object.

Tokyo

As living costs rise and homes shrink, footprint optimization is essential. Life has become complex due to social and economic shifts, making fast paced living the standard. Tokyo addresses this by bridging a bench with a shoe rack, putting multifunctionality at its core. Designed to unclutter entrances for stressv free exits and calm arrivals, its most unique feature lies in the integrated top tray that curves to embrace the cushion, creating a spot for daily items. Plywood respects the bench's dual nature, allowing for a sleek, yet warm aesthetic while remaining sustainable and long-lasting.

Spiral of Life

In a fusion of mathematical structure and kinetic art, the Spiral of Life project presents a new direction for Kiriko glassware. This work captures the organic fluctuation of nature within a glass medium. The development originated from a collaboration between the designer and Ree, a paint dancer. By translating Fibonacci sequences into movement, Ree provided the conceptual framework for the design. Through 8 to 13 and 13 to 21 spiral ratios, the artisan connects traditional craft with biomathematics. The resulting harmony offers a rhythmic experience reflecting the natural pulse of the world.
