The project mostly focuses on aesthetic elements and user experience as the main aim suggests product to be different from the existing products. The dock of the tea maker is smaller than the body which allows product to look over the ground that brings unique identity. Slightly curved body combined with sliced surfaces also supports the unique identity of the product.
Continue readingSandane is a public table tennis table designed for an urban park. The frame is made from simple steel plates painted with dark reflective paint. A chain of four wooden spheres works as a crossbeam. The spheres reflect in the paint, so a continuous chain appears to pass through the metal, making the structure seem translucent and light. The metal frame is built from only three unique pieces, which simplifies production and assembly. The design gives a robust piece of street furniture sculptural qualities.

A sliding panel at the back opens to hold a mobile phone, and the phone can also be placed on top so videos can be watched while music is played. Small desktop items such as pens can be stored in the curved body. Waving is made of plastic and measures 160 by 75 by 20 millimeters. Controls include a power key, a volume key, a headphone jack and a charging port.

The shell is made of fireproof polycarbonate with a touch-friendly coating, and the oval shape improves resistance to drops. A light strip, activated by a touch sensor, shows the power state: red indicates power being used and blue indicates power available in the battery.
